It was a (ADJ 1) and (ADJ 2) night. We met at (FRIEND NAME 1)’s house. It was Halloween night, and we were dressed in our (NOUN) costumes.
(FRIEND NAME 2) had planned to hit every house this year, even that forbidden one at the end of the street. We all knew that (GIRL NAME) lived in that house and that she handed out candy every year to those that dared go, but no one really did. (GIRL NAME) is what you would call, peculiar or weird. She lived with her personal (OCCUPATION), and rumor has it that she has a giant (NOUN) garden in her backyard. She did experiments with people who would dare befriend her, which often sent them to the (PLACE).
After everyone gathered at the house, we began our route to score the most candy. As we walked down the street, I developed an ominous premonition about the whole trip. We neared (MALE TEACHER)’s house, who was the next house. I had to find a way to stall. There was no way I could go to her house. I tried striking up conversation with (MALE TEACHER), but finding no subject matter in common with a (NUMBER) year old man, I found no escape from going to the ominous house. “Stop trying to stall, you coward,” (FRIEND NAME 2) said, as we took the old man’s (NOUN).
We began walking to (GIRL NAME)’s house. The darkness attacked me instantly. The mansion was completely (COLOR) with giant gothic windows. We walked straight through the gate toward her creaky porch. We went up the steps and I realized that there were no lights on and the door was slightly ajar. (FRIEND NAME 2) opened the door and we stepped in. Immediately the door slammed shut and a (NOUN) flickered on in the corner of the room. We assumed the congo line of fear. I tried the door. It wasn’t locked but that made the whole experience much scarier.
The (NOUN) began to rise and a cold breeze blew across the room and down my (BODY PART). (FRIEND NAME 1) began to scream and ran out of the house leaving me and (FRIEND NAME 2) to fend for ourselves. The (NOUN) got closer and closer and began to flicker on and off. When it got to about a foot away, I heard someone move behind me and I heard someone whisper in my ear, “(EXCLAMATION)” That was the last straw. I booked it out of the house, running back home. (FRIEND NAME 2) claims that at that point all the (NOUN) turned on and (GIRL NAME) and her (OCCUPATION) were laughing at us.
