Style Shot: Taylor Trinh

Your first impression of a person is based on how he or she looks, and for Junior Taylor Trinh, her clothing gives off an impression of self-confidence and independence.

Rampage: What is your favorite trend?
Trinh: My favorite trend would have to be crop tops. They look good on almost anyone. Plus, they’re cute and stylish.

Rampage: What is your style?
Trinh: I wouldn’t say I have a certain style. I’m constantly changing and experimenting with clothes, hair and makeup; my style is whatever I feel good in.

Rampage: How do you choose what clothes to buy?
Trinh: It’s important to know what kinds of clothes suit your body type. I always wear clothes that I feel comfortable in, but also make me look cool and fabulous.

Rampage: What tips do you have for students discovering their own style?
Trinh: Find out what you look good in, and visit the dressing room often. Bring friends shopping with you if you need advice.

Rampage: Do you have any role models?
Trinh: My fashion role model would have to be Angelina Jolie. Her sense of style gives off a strong vibe, even though it consists of mostly black. I also follow a lot of high-fashion models on Instagram like Jamie King and Naomi Campbell.

“I’ve been dying my hair since the age of five; my mom was okay with me expressing myself via hair dye. Recently, it’s been blue and purple because it represents an inner sadness.”

“The color black makes me feel skinny and strong; it looks good on everyone and matches with anything. If you’t have anything to wear, you go for black.”

“I started wearing my mom’s high heels when I was in elementary school. They give me confidence, and they also match any outfit you could wear.”
