Presidential Candidates
In the past month, former Secretary of State Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Senators Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio announced their intentions to run for president in the 2016 election. The candidates are currently traveling across the country campaigning in hopes of pursuing voters to elect them as the next president.
This upcoming election will mark the first time many current juniors and seniors will be able to have a say in government matters and use their right to vote.
“I feel incredibly excited, since this is the first election in which I actually get to vote,” Junior Joanna Hua said. “With the election drawing nearer, I feel as if I play a significant role in the future of the United States.”
