New Laws Regarding Earbuds
The Transportation Committee’s new traffic law, SB 491, prohibits any person driving a vehicle or riding a bicycle from having earphones, earplugs or headsets covering or resting on both ears at any time. In other words, drivers cannot have both ears impaired. The ticket for violation could cost up to $160.
Track and Field Yard Sale
Temple City Track and Field hosted its first yard sale on Saturday, Jan. 9 at the lunch shelter from 7:30 to noon. The goal of the event was to fundraise for new uniforms for the upcoming season, and the team raised $500 from the sale. Track donated all unsold items to the Elizabeth House in Pasadena.
Dance Into Oblivion
The annual Dance Concert on Jan. 15 at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse featured Choreo, Auxillaries, Pep, Fusion, Beginning and Advanced Dance, Oak Avenue Auxiliaries and included a Dancing with the Teachers segment which spotlighted Mr. Harrison, Mr. Saxon, Mr. Smith, Ms. Singh and Ms. Selders.
