CIF Superstars
The Girls Varsity Tennis Team became the first CIF Champions for Girls Tennis in TCHS history.
“I didn’t expect to make it to Finals due to so many years of not even making it to CIF,” Senior Captain Allison Young said. “To not only make it to Finals, but winning the championship? That’s unbelievable.”
Among other teams to make CIF, the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team made the first round of CIF, losing 3-1 to Culver City, while Boys Varsity Water Polo made it to the second round with a 16-12 win against Kennedy High School.

TCSF Funds Society of Friends
TCSF funded Society of Friends, a club that builds bridges between special and general education students. After a board meeting, the club received an official grant.
“Because of the size and nature of Society of Friends, it’s harder to include everyone because we have to take all students and aides into account when planning,” Vice President Senior Amber Wu said. “So, being funded takes away the stress and fundraising that comes with hosting large events.”

Christmas Spirit Week
From Dec. 19-23, ASBL will hold a Christmas spirit week. On Monday, dress warm and wear winter clothes for “Baby, it’s cold outside.” Wear red if you’re naughty, or white if you’re nice for Tuesday’s theme of “Naughty or Nice?” Wear your mismatched clothes on Wednesday for “Island of Misfit Toys.” On Thursday, sport your Christmas sweater for “How the Rams stole Christmas.” Wear Santa hats and holiday socks for Friday, since “Santa’s Coming!” Students who post pictures on Instagram with the hashtag #doitforthespirit will have a chance to win a Yogurtland coupon.
