Rams show off new spring styles

Fashion’s elite have hit the runway during New York and London Fashion Week, setting the new line of trends for 2017. Rampage has compiled a few outfits, highlighting some of our very own FIDM Fashion Club trendsetters. They meet every Tuesday in room 207 and discuss the newest fashion trends.
Mellow Yellow
When it comes to bringing popular color hues from years past, it’s the designer’s duty to decide how to create a masterpiece. Yellow, at first glance, may not be the most appealing color, but it has since made its comeback to center stage.
For Sophomore Gabriella Djuarna, keeping her wardrobe simple makes her outfits efficient and cute. Accessorizing is a must when it comes to her wardrobe with dainty jewelry and denim jackets.
As a two-year club member, she pulls inspiration from beauty vloggers Lauren Conrad and Lauren Riihimaki. She loves to pair her yellow top with necklaces and a denim jacket to channel incoming spring fashion.
“My favorite part about fashion is how it’s always changing,” Djuarna said. “The FIDM club helps me stay up to date with these trends and discuss them with others who are as passionate about fashion as I am.”
Dressing Diversely
For Senior Amber Wong, rocking a variety of different styles is part of her everyday wear. Pulling inspiration from her favorite YouTubers, Jenn Im and Tess Christine, Wong usually styles pink clothing with white or denim to avoid any clashing prints or color.
“I 100% support that 90s fashion trends are making a comeback,” Wong said. “I remember growing up and watching 90s movies and television shows like ‘Clueless’ and ‘Saved By the Bell.’ I love how they used to coordinate cropped pieces—it was truly fashion heaven to me.”
