The Esports Club is for students interested in competitive video games. Anyone can join the club, but students must try out to represent the club in competition. The club competes against other schools with varsity and junior varsity teams. The club has three advisors. Tommy Tan coaches the Valorant team, Evan Phu coaches the League of Legends teams and Ryan Lauterbach coaches the Super Smash Brothers team.

“What I enjoy most is the connections everyone makes, as well as the opportunities that we provide because I know E-Sports is a growing subject in the world today. A lot of colleges are giving out sponsorships for people that are really talented at playing video games.”

—Esports Club Co-President Kevin Guo

“We compete in tournaments, like high school Esports leagues, and the club is currently second in the state. We sign up for a lot of tournaments and we also host them. We are most likely doing something with UCSB in the future.”

—Esports Club Secretary Daisy Wong
