New Year’s Resolutions

“My New Year’s resolutions are to master both side and middle splits before sophomore year. I stretch every day but every two weeks, I give myself a two-or three-day break. Although the stretches may hurt, I try to push myself, and doing so only increases my motivation.”

—Freshman Daiju Mori

“I hope to be happier and more productive in 2024 by the end of the school year. I plan to become a new person by enjoying life and focusing on schoolwork. To overcome procrastination, I intend to schedule my week in advance, reduce distractions and have a friend monitor my daily progress.”

—Sophomore Joyce Tang

“For this year, I plan to be more independent by changing habits holding me back before I enter college. I’m trying to rely less on my friends for homework in Advanced Computer Aided Design. Now that I’m 18, the idea of being an adult says you’re supposed to have your life together so I want to gain control of my own life.”
