After a 35-year absence, TCHS Grad Nite returns to Disneyland Resort on May 31. In order to attend, seniors need to fill out the Google form on the TCHS Grad Nite Instagram page and submit a payment of $200 before March 15. Originally celebrated at Disneyland in 1961, Grad Nite is an annual tradition for seniors to commemorate graduation, with this year’s celebration being two days after seniors get their diplomas.
“I am really excited to walk through Disneyland with my friends, laughing and making memories,” senior Mona Cai said. “It is the perfect way to end our senior year, and Disneyland is going to be a lot more fun than being on campus.”
Seniors and chaperones will explore Disneyland and Disney California Adventure until the Grad Nite private party begins at 9 p.m. in California Adventure. The event features dance parties with DJs, photo opportunities and characters dressed in graduation attire. The parks will close early to the general public, allowing only students wearing wristbands to remain for the private party.
“Holding the event at a destination like Disneyland Resort reinforces the idea that this is a once in a lifetime experience tied specifically to graduating,” 2026 Co-Chair of TCHS Grad Nite Cherice Lopez said. “It symbolizes stepping forward into the next chapter with independence and responsibility.”
Grad Nite fundraisers that cover transportation and merchandise expenses include the Savers Donation Drive on March 15, Dave & Busters, Bunco Nite and Senior Challenge for Students.
