Fun Food Friday
Students bustled past one another as Sophomore Class President Bailee Weisz passed out plates of beef soft tacos. 16 clubs gathered in the quad on Feb. 7, including Toastmasters Club with pasta and meat sauce and Viva Italia with frozen yogurt.

Junior ASVAB Updates
This year, juniors get to choose whether or not they will take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test, which helps suggest future professions based on a variety of subjects. Counselor Ms. Martinne Gonzalez said that the school decided to make testing voluntary because the test does not benefit students who already have ideas of what professions to pursue. Instead, the counselors hope that the students will use Naviance to search for colleges and programs and that undecided students will take the ASVAB. 220 juniors will take the ASVAB in the gym on Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Lunar New Year Festival
The scents of lamb skewers and tornado potatoes filled the air as several vendors set up shop on Las Tunas for the Lunar New Year Festival on Feb. 1. Traditional Chinese dancers from USC and local singers performed at the gazebo at Temple City Park. The festival also had several booths with local businesses and organizations like SK Taekwondo, which passed out flyers and held demonstrations for the community.
