The summer of sciences

For Junior Daniel Kao, the California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science was a memorable experience. Kao left the Biodiesel from Renewable Sources program with exceeded expectations and more knowledge about science.
“If you are strongly interested in science I definitely recommend you try out,” Kao said. “It was an amazing experience where I got to learn more about science and meet people with the same interests as me.”

Amidst a busy schedule consisting of summer school and AP assignments, Junior Cynthia DeLeon almost decided against attending the National Youth Leadership Forum. However, after an irreplaceable week immersed in the medical field, DeLeon is beyond satisfied with her decision. “It was a dramatic but life changing experience,” DeLeon said. “Everyone in my family works in the medical field, and the program made me certain that I want to pursue a career there as well.”
