TCUSD provides food, technology services

TCUSD is offering students free lunch meals at TCHS, laptop rentals and temporary WiFi due to the district-wide shutdown.

Students can pick up free Grab & Go lunch meals on Monday and Wednesday in the Student Parking Lot at TCHS starting on March 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The district will still provide lunch meals for five days; however they will serve meals to students on two days. The lunch service will discontinue from March 30 through April 3 due to spring break but will resume on April 6 until school reopens. Students do not need to enter a PIN code or show a student ID.

The menu includes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on Monday, ham and cheese sandwiches on Tuesday, turkey and cheese sandwiches on Wednesday, Jam and cheese sandwiches on Thursday and yogurt, string cheese and granola on Friday. Each lunch includes carrots, raisins or cranberries and milk. The menu is subject to change.

Free laptop rentals were also available for students on March 16-17 at every school’s administrative office. The district provided about 80 laptops.

Students can have access to free WiFi for 60 days through a special Spectrum Internet program by calling 1.888.438.2427 for customer service. At the first prompt, respond with “I don’t have an account.” At the second prompt, say “setting up new service.” When asked for zip code or area, respond with “91780.” After holding for an agent, ask about the free 60 day WiFi offer.
