Capture a jarringly small galaxy

Most people get discouraged when they hear the letters DIY, but the bottled galaxy is easy to do and takes your interior design out of this world.
Materials:
1 glass jar with a lid
Cotton balls (amount varies with each jar)
Food coloring tubes (red, blue, purple)
Water (amount varies with each jar)
1 pack of fine glitter (white works best)
2 disposable cups
1 wooden popsicle stick
1 pair of gloves

Steps:
First, wash out the glass jar and use a towel or napkin to dry it off. Next, you should put on your gloves so that the food coloring does not stain your hands or clothes.
Fill each disposable cup with water, and add one to three drops of your desired food coloring. Use the wooden popsicle stick to stir the mixture until the dye and the water blend together evenly. If you don’t have purple food coloring, you can add red and blue together.
Pour the water into the jar and add a generous amount of cotton. Sprinkle the glitter along the edges of the jar to give a starry effect as you layer.
Now just repeat the process above until the jar is full. Take the cap, seal your jar tightly shut and enjoy your miniature galaxy in a bottle.
This simple and cost-efficient DIY would make a great gift, but keep in mind that about after two weeks, all of the red and blue dye will blend together and form purple.

This particular DIY is forgiving because you can always clean the jar and start over again if you make any mistakes.
