Students bring Easter celebrations to life

With Easter coming up this Sunday, we asked students how they planned to celebrate. From school activities to Christian traditions, they taught us about a variety of Easter events that they participate in.

“Usually on Easter I like to help out at my church’s community event where I handle certain booths such as temporary tattoos and egg painting. I enjoy participating in the event because I think it is genuinely fun and I like the feeling of being a part of something bigger.”

“The ELD mentoring program consists of mentors like me guiding ELD students on american cultures and traditions. The egg hunt was one of the many fun events we did this year that strengthened the friendship between the mentors and the mentees. It was an enjoyable experience to teach an ELD student what the egg hunt is and participate in it myself.”

“I enjoy participating in Easter celebration by singing because it’s a way I can serve the church. The practices leading up to the service and the service itself are both very exciting. My favorite part of the entire event would have to be singing with my friends and having fun with them after the service.”
